The 340B Program Coordinator/Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the 340B Drug Pricing Program to ensure compliance with federal regulations and optimize the program's benefits for the organization. This role involves coordination with various departments, monitoring program performance, conducting audits, and providing education on 340B regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to the 340B program.
- Monitor and manage the 340B program's inventory and purchasing processes.
Compliance and Auditing:
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with 340B program requirements.
- Prepare for and facilitate external audits and reviews by HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) or other regulatory bodies.
- Address and resolve any compliance issues or discrepancies identified during audits.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze 340B program data to assess program performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Generate and maintain reports on program activities, savings, and compliance.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize program efficiency and effectiveness.
Training and Education:
- Provide training and education to staff on 340B program requirements and best practices.
- Act as a resource for staff and management regarding 340B policies and procedures.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with pharmacy, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth program operations.
- Collaborate with external partners, wholesalers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers, to manage contract negotiations and program participation.
Policy Development:
- Develop and update policies and procedures related to the 340B program.
- Stay current with changes in 340B regulations and incorporate them into program practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in managing or coordinating 340B programs or similar compliance programs, typically 3-5 years
