Are you an experienced Production Supervisor looking for an exciting opportunity to enhance your career? Our company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team on a permanent basis for the 2nd shift. The Production Supervisor will play a key role in managing and improving production processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our production operations, ensuring that they run reliably and efficiently. Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the production process, ensuring that it runs smoothly and is cost-effective.
2. Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
3. Plan and organize production schedules, assess project and resource requirements.
4. Ensure that the production is cost-effective, set and control budgets for production.
5. Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
6. Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs.
7. Liaise with different departments, e.g., suppliers, managers, to ensure smooth operations.
8. Work closely with the human resources department to ensure proper staffing levels.
9. Evaluate performance and produce reports for the upper management.
10. Identify training needs and ensure proper training is provided to the staff.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, engineering, industrial technology or related field preferred/Minimum High School Degree
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
3. Solid knowledge of production management and manufacturing best practices.
4. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.
5. Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
6. Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
7. Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.
8. Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, managers, and customers.
9. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
10. Ability to handle high-stress situations and make decisions under pressure.
11. Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
12. Excellent project management skills.
13. Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members to meet their potential and support company objectives.
14. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
