Printing Press Operator
Pay: $20-26/hr. (Depending on experience level)
2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday (3pm to 1am)
{May train on 1st Shift and May work on weekends/holidays as needed}
Summary:
The Printing Press Operator will operate residential and/or commercial Gravure presses.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Physically fit: Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, twist, balance, climb and heavy lift up to 60lbs
- Sensory Tests may be performed: depth perception, near/ field vision, temperature, color and tactile discrimination
- Interacts well with others
- Printing Press Operation experience in long run, high speed, and with high quality printing methods
Job Duties:
- Make sure to keep a safe, clean and well-maintained work environment by performing maintenance and general janitorial duties throughout shift as time allows.
- Monitor and control machines on a daily basis to maintain daily and weekly production schedule.
- Understanding the scheduling and how the schedule works.
- Look over all work orders/instructions to see which materials are needed to complete orders
- Understand order, quantities, substrates, and patterns.
- Understanding Press set-ups and know how to set-up a press.
- Understanding the Rewind/Unwind and all functions of the press.
- Start presses and meet standards for print quality, registration, and coverage. Make adjustments as needed to ink distribution, speed and temperature
- Perform preventive maintenance: oil and clean the presses, minor repairs and basic troubleshooting
- Adjust machine parts and complete quality checks as needed to ensure proper speed, pressure, temperature for quality production to maintain regulations and company standards.
- Trim system how to set-up engage.
- Working overtime as required, including weekends and holidays.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
