The successful candidate will be a critical member of our team, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving our complex manufacturing machinery. This role involves working on a variety of equipment, including digital and Kodak presses, motors, and conveyors, and requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will be adept at both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment calibration, and Lock Out Tag Out procedures. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, cleaning machinery, and inspecting belts and chains for wear and tear.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues with equipment including digital and Kodak presses, motors, and conveyors.
- Calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement Lock Out Tag Out procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to optimize production and minimize downtime.
- Document and maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
- Recommend improvements to maintenance policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanic in the Manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Extensive knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
- Experience in equipment calibration.
- Proficient understanding of electrical systems.
- Proven track record of equipment maintenance.
- Familiarity with Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
- Experience working with digital press and Kodak press.
- Knowledge of motors and conveyors.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Relevant certification or diploma in a related field is preferred.
