2nd shift Schedule: 5:00pm-3:30am
Responsible for performing and managing installations, repairs, and maintenance of all the Diagnostic Operations (LS/TX) at the Lexington, KY, Mercer facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. (Duties can be assigned at any Lexington facility but support of the LS/TX Diagnostic is the primary function of this role.)
- Troubleshoots, repairs, renovates, installs, operates, and maintains facility, fixtures, and equipment within the operation.
- Scope of work to include basic wiring/cabling, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, painting, assembly, and general repairs.
- Schedules and coordinates activities of outside contractors as needed.
- Obtains quotations and procures necessary materials to perform work.
- Manages preventive maintenance program and performs scheduled preventive maintenance of operational equipment.
- Operates tools and equipment required to perform work assignments.
- Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with company policies and local laws.
- Participates on the divisional safety committee.
- Trained to operate fork truck.
- Works cooperatively with department managers and accepts direction from Maintenance Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Administrative Reporting
The following reports and forms are to be completed as established under department procedures:
- Follow preventive maintenance schedule for compliance to weekly, monthly annual and semiannually requirements.
- Complete forms and create records for maintenance and repair needs.
- Complete Facilities Repair Forms that are submitted for needed repairs.
Position Requirements and Qualifications

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in maintenance trade or vocational schooling.
- Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, refrigeration equipment, and plumbing systems preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read basic written procedures and instructions in English. Ability to interpret machinery manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and averaging.
