About the Job
Summary:
Repairs and
maintains
machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
What You'll Do:
Installs, adjusts, and repairs production equipment and special purpose machines, including equipments electrical supply lines and circuits, electrical/electronic controls, piping and tubing, pneumatic controls and systems, and hydraulic systems.
Inspects equipment for proper lubrication and performs general preventative maintenance duties.
Diagnoses equipment operating problems and makes repairs, part replacements, and adjustments.
Refers complex situations to supervisor and higher-level mechanics.
Operates
variety
of hand and power tools, shop equipment and machining tools.
Welds and performs sheet metal operations as
required
Inspects equipment and tests performance of equipment following repairs.
Performs all work
in accordance with
established safety procedures.
Other general
Maintenance duties that may be assigned.

Valid drivers license with class E qualification and clean driving record.
Operate a variety of

Must actively participate as a member of the team and be willing to maintain high levels of productivity, occasionally sustaining longer working hours when necessary.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma
or general education degree (GED)
Minimum of
three
years experience
in journey-level equipment maintenance

nowledge of e
lectrical/electronic,
pneumatic
and hydraulic systems
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Basic English language skills
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Algebra and computation
skills.
REASONING ABILITY
Attention to detail and established procedures.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Journeyman in Equipment Maintenance
