2nd Shift CNC Machinist - Delta Staffing

Summary:

In the role of CNC Machinist, your primary responsibility will involve operating CNC machine tools such as lathes and milling machines to fabricate precision parts for machines and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Perform up to 10 setups per day, including identifying necessary tools and running jobs with minimal supervision.
• Understand the purpose and functionality of the machined component.
• Utilize various machine tools for progressive machining operations.
• Conduct basic inspection using appropriate equipment.
• Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and ensure ITAR compliance.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Proficiency in editing speeds and feeds.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of CNC calculating techniques.
• Effective time management skills.
• Basic understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Mechanical aptitude and organizational skills.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in CNC machining.
• Familiarity with 5-axis and/or 3-axis machining.
• Experience in contour and manual machining.
• Proficiency in cutting and holding techniques.
• Ability to work with various materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and composites.
• Understanding of material properties and matching appropriate equipment and techniques.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
