2nd Shift Supervisor - Macuch Steel Products

Position: 2nd Shift Supervisor 
Department:  Production 
Reports To:   Plant Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

SUMMARY

This position oversees the Shop Floor. Responsible to act in accordance with the policies set forth in the Macuch Steel Employee Handbook. Daily responsibilities include maximize production, minimize cost, manage personnel, advance information flow, promote safety and assure atop-quality end product. Experienced in structural steel fabrication and machinery.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage and Train department employees Manage Process Efficiency & Resources Manage Information Flow

Control Expenses Quality & Safety Customer Service

Strong Communication Skills

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Three -or more years' experience in shop floor production, specifically with structural steel. Two years or more experience as foreman or supervisor. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Experience with CNC and manual machine operation. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
