Parallel Employment Group, in partnership with a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking qualified Production Coordinator/Line Lead. As a Production Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of coordinating production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers in a food manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the production of high-quality food products.
Schedule: 11am-7:30pm on Monday-Friday for 4-6 weeks of training, and then schedule will shift to 2nd shift.
Pay rate: $22.00 - $24.00 - based on experience
SUMMARY
Support oversight of production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Ensure smooth production operation during shift.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervise production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
2. Train and coach production line employees.
3. Responsible for shift schedule to include workstation assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
4. Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
5. Schedule and conduct shift meetings.
6. Responsible to meet shift production goals.
7. Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
8. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
9. Ensure a clean and safe work area.
10. Complete shift paperwork.
11. Assist in production as necessary.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Must have previous line lead or leadership experience. Knowledge of the food manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience.
3. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
4. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
