Position Description
Maintenance technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), blueprints, ladder logic, electrical systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics to troubleshoot and improve systems and processes.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and support equipment, including but not limited to:
- Scales
- Dumpers
- Mixers
- Cookers
- Chillers
- Slicers
- Packaging Machines
- Conveyors
- Palletizers
- Pallet Wrappers
- Perform repairs, modifications, and improvements on facility and production equipment using precision techniques.
- Comprehend and troubleshoot computer/PLC-controlled equipment, motor control systems, servo motors, pumping systems, 3-phase industrial electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot gear reducers, chain/belt drives, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, heat exchangers, pumps, piping systems, and vacuum pumps.
- Complete mathematical calculations as needed for technical tasks.
- Utilize root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques to address equipment/system failures.
- Fabricate and weld various types of metals (preferred).
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for scheduling and executing maintenance activities.
- Adhere to safety policies, including lock-out tag-out (LOTO), Arc-Flash, hot work permits, and confined space entry.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors and Planners for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Foster a maintenance culture focused on Lean principles, positive morale, and exceptional customer service.
- Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Availability to work off shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Maintain a basic understanding of OSHA regulations.

- 2:00 P.M. - 10:15 P.M.

Physical Requirements
- Lift and move up to 40 lbs.
- Work in wet, humid, cold, or hot environments, including refrigerated areas at approximately 40°F.
- Walk or stand on hard floors for 8–12 hours daily.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience with a focus on electrical/motors.
