Job Purpose:
Produces products by monitoring production levels; recommending adjustments to process setting; supervising staff.
Duties:
* Accomplishes production human resource obj
ectives by orienting, training, assigning, and coaching employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
* Meets production operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying process improvements.
* Meets production financial standards by controlling and minimizing production expenses.
* Maintains product production by observing process volumes; recommending process adjustments.
* Records production by completing daily shift production reports; calculating yields and recoveries.
* Maintains flow of operations by communicating production status, requirements, and problems to next shift.
* Maintains working relationship with union by complying with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
* Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
* Accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry has an immediate opening for a Engineering Technician for a 12 month+ Contract. HOURS ARE 2pm to 10:30pm M-F
Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)
Day-to-Day Duties May Include:
- Providing technical support to engineers and scientists on a variety of technical tasks tied to New Product Development
- CAD Modeling and rapid protype
- Software and circuit build up and test as applicable
- Assemble, Build and Test Proof of Concepts.
- Developing and recommending procedures and methods and preparing technical reports and documentation.
- Performing technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommending corrective action.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree preferred.
- 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Root Cause Analysis experience.
- Technical reporting/documentation experience.
