We are seeking a dedicated 2nd/3rd Grade Special Education Teacher in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for supporting young learners with diverse needs, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a creative approach to fostering academic and personal growth. In this role, you will provide individualized instruction, implement IEPs, and work closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. This is a Connections Classroom. These students are ED students - academically and developmentally on track with their same-age peers but are unable to manage social and emotional behaviors appropriately. We use the Boys Town Model for classroom management - basically a point system where students earn points for Staying on Task, Following Directions, Getting Teacher's Attention appropriately, and lose points for choosing poor behaviors. 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid state teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement
• 2 years of experience working with students in K-3 or early childhood settings
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Strong understanding of early childhood developmental milestones and best practices
