The Associate Vice President of Information Technology is responsible for providing strategic and technical insight for the IT department under the guidance of the VP of Information Technology. This position will also contribute to the budgeting and planning of network systems as well as maintenance and support. The AVP of IT will work collaboratively with other business units and Third-party vendors. The position oversees technology governance for decisions and solution development, develops processes and procedures, and provides guidance and leadership for the technology service area. The AVP of IT will also work closely with functional areas on organizational projects and initiatives. In addition to operational management, this role will involve senior IT leadership and internal business stakeholders to understand business and customer needs and assess, propose, and implement technical solutions that align with and facilitate these needs.

Responsibilities:
- The AVP of IT provides direct input in developing strategic objectives and operational outcomes of technology services and is accountable for the implementation of standard processes and procedures for technology service components
- Manages and ensures compliance and system SLAs are meeting performance levels
- Provides leadership for continuous improvements throughout the Network security and Tier1 support team
- Defines and drives the objectives of the service desk to improve support workflows, problem resolution, change and release management effectiveness, capacity planning, and security initiatives
- Participates in the design, development, implementation, and support of infrastructure solutions and project management
- Provide a work environment focused on teamwork and unity while empowering the staff to focus on their individual goals and objectives
- Leverage project management skills and tools to manage and monitor technology projects to ensure compliance with defined policies and technical standards
- Conduct audits of enterprise technology SLAs
- Assist with the preparations for disaster recovery planning for consistent business operations
- Making recommendations for improving existing systems and processes
- Keep abreast of new enterprise and administrative technologies and operational methodologies
- Participate in business unit committees to learn, share, and identify ways technology can assist and improve their processes
Requirements include:
- MUST HAVE CREDIT UNION or BANKING IT EXPERIENCE to be considered
- Must have APP DEVELOPMENT experience
- Fiserv DNA experience
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in IT
- 5+ years of relevant experience in managing/leading technical projects and assessing technical solutions
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a lead role of a technology team and direct supervision of staff
- Related IT Industry certifications of leading technologies such as Microsoft Azure Infrastructure administration, Cisco CCNA or better, VMware VCP, security-related certifications, or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience managing and securing cloud-hosting environments, including IaaS, SaaS and PaaS preferred
- Experience developing project plans and managing projects in a banking or financial services organization preferred
Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 plus benefits and relocation assistance
