Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics is an internationally recognized leader in the field of child maltreatment prevention. Responsibilities for this position include engaging directly with families and children, assisting with manuscripts, opportunities for professional development, and evidence-based practices This position is excellent for recent BA or MA graduates or persons applying to graduate school. The research technician provides assistance to research staff by collecting data, keeping records, conducting literature reviews and technical research, analyzing data, preparing reports, etc.
Duties:
- Data Collection. Collects various forms of data pertaining to the research project or projects. Recruits participants, conducts computerized interviews, saves data, works with project coordinator to track cases and data. Data collection occurs virtually and in person, including in the home and community.
- Record Keeping. Keeps record of information obtained during research. May include a database of information, hard files, etc.
- Literature Research. Conducts research of the literature.
- Technical Research. Conducts technical research or assists in social science research.
- Data Analysis. Conducts analyses of research data.
- Report Preparation. Prepares reports concerning the progress of the project, etc.
- Administrative Assistance. Provides administrative assistance by answering phones, running miscellaneous errands, etc.
- As Needed. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
