24-25 Assistant Volleyball Coach, Escalante Middle School - Durango School District 9-R

Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for Assistant Volleyball Coach at Escalant Middle School. This coaching position involves instructing middle school students (grades 7 and 8) in the fundamental skills,strategies, and physical training of volleyball. We are a member of the San Juan Basin Middle School League. Position Begins August 2024-October 2024.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of effective coaching practices/techniques of volleyball
• Ability to build rapport with middle school students
• Ability to build individual and team character and confidence
• Ability to relate to students of varying athletic abilities
• Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner at all times
• Ability to work positively and communicate effectively with coaches, staff, parents and administration
