Job Summary
PSEG is looking for an Intern for the Third-Party Attachments Group (part of the Asset Management & Planning Group).
This job involves working as a Telecommunications / Wireless Co-Location Engineer, working with the Third-Party Attachments group to help facilitate wireless co-location sites on our transmission towers and distribution poles.
This position will be Hybrid: Full time during the summer of 2025.
Job Responsibilities
Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:
The main job duties of this position involve working with our third-party customers (wireless carriers) to assist them in the deployment of their wireless co-location sites on our transmission towers and distribution poles throughout our service area. This includes new builds, upgrades, repairs, and the decommissioning of wireless co-location sites. The primary job duties are as follows:
- Performing desk top reviews of Site Candidate Information Reports (SCIPS) for new sites and following up the desktop review with a site visit to the site location ( tower or pole ). Provide feedback to the wireless carrier on findings.
- Accompany team on site design visits for new builds, upgrades, repairs, decommissioning and as-built work. Work with overhead transmission group to provide wireless carrier with tower packages.
- Assist group with the upkeep of construction tracker for transmission tower construction work for weekly status meetings (tracking the receipt of construction startups and completions, purchase orders and executed contracts).
- Assist with the review of deliverables from the wireless carriers.
- Assist group with yearly site inspections of groundwork at transmission tower sites.
- Assist group with providing access to wireless carriers for access to sites at secure PSE&G facilities.
- Assist group with surveillance camera and ALRP attachments on distribution poles.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical and graduating between December 2025 and May 2028. Students graduating in May/June 2025 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2025. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed freshman level course work for consideration.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Planning, organizational, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to work well with cross – functional teams and the ability to interact with people at all levels internally
• Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
• 3.0 GPA
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
