Job Summary
PSEG is looking for an intern for the Environmental Projects and Services.
This job involves working as an intern supporting the Environmental Projects and Services Department for implementation of processes, record-keeping and procedures as needed. Technical and administrative support to help ensure compliance within the Department is maintained.
This position will be onsite.
Job Responsibilities
Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:
PSE&G EPS is seeking five summer interns to work in the Environmental Projects and Services Department to assist with environmental support for ET&D and utility activities. The position will support the Environmental Project Manager and the Senior Environmental Specialists with general administrative tasks, program support and process improvement activities.
The position's responsibilities include assisting the Environmental Projects and Services Group in developing and maintaining documentation related to environmental compliance includin 1.) assistance with preparation of project environmental plans; 2.) assistance in the development of spreadsheets and databases for the tracking of regulatory and compliance data; 3.) assistance to the Project Manager and Senior Environmental Specialist to organize and file shipping manifests; 4.) assist with the drafting of environmental guidance documents; 5.) interact with other company departments, contractors and consultants to support environmental activity; 6.) prepare charts, presentations and process flow diagrams. Candidate should have the desire to work in the environmental field focused on operations and compliance.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in (Environmental or Chemical Engineering; or a BS degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry or Geology) and graduating between December 2025 and May 2028. Students graduating in May/June 2025 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2025. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed freshman level course work for consideration.
Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.
Preferred:
• 3.0 GPA
• BS degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering; or a BS degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry or Geology
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
