Successful candidates will have an undergraduate degree from a leading university, preferably with a major in finance or accounting. Prior work experience as a summer analyst at another investment bank strongly preferred. Successful candidates will be extremely smart, with particularly strong quantitative, writing and interpersonal skills. Successful candidates will be very comfortable working in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. We take a very team-oriented approach to investment banking, and therefore, also focus on team chemistry in our hiring process.
We are recruiting for our next Investment Banking Analyst class. Oppenheimer provides Analysts with a high level of responsibility and extensive access to senior management and clients. Analysts can expect to be involved in a variety of transactions, including financings, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalization and restructuring assignments. Transaction teams at Oppenheimer are typically small in size, providing Analysts with an opportunity for significant responsibilities early in their career. We will consider Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 graduates for the program.
Analysts’ responsibilities include:
- Prepare complex financial analyses and models
- Conduct due diligence investigations of client companies
- Support the preparation of detailed memoranda and presentations describing the key attributes of client companies
- Research potential buyers/investors and
- Participate in various marketing and recruiting activities of the firm
Compensation:
For job postings in California, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The current base salary offered for this role is $90,000.00 per year. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
