2025 Co-Op, Biostatistics and Programming at Moderna, Inc.

The Role:

This role is an exciting opportunity for student to learn about the biotech industry from a hands-on perspective. The student will work with senior-level statisticians as part of the clinical development group of a high growth organization that is radically changing the biotech industry. The student will be involved in wrangling, analyses, and visualization of broad types of data across Modernas research and development programs that are leveraging cutting-edge mRNA science to create transformative medicines for patients. This position will run from January 21st-June 20th, 2025. All candidates must be available for the entire duration of the program.

Heres What Youll Do:

• Collaborate with scientists and statistical programmers to solve challenge data related problems in clinical studies and harmonize various data using clinical data standard.

• Build innovative tools and pipelines for both scientists and statisticians to drive business solutions in a data driven way.

• Champion in bringing state-of-art statistical thinking and methods to help drive applications of suit-for-purpose statistical methods and visualizations that enhance the probability of successes for clinical development programs

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table:

• Master student or Undergraduate Student in statistics, biostatistics, computational biology, statistical genetics, data science or computer science related disciplines.

• Excellent statistical knowledge and quantitative skill with the ability of applying the knowledge to solve scientific and clinical problems.

• Experience in R, AWS/GCP, and at least one programming language (e.g. Python or Perl) is essential.

• Experience with GenAI , Machine Learning and create visualization apps , dashboard and toolkit would be preferred.

• Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).
