Join the Marketing team at UWM for an immersive summer internship program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing. This program offers an excellent opportunity to work on real projects and gain valuable insights into the marketing strategies of a leading mortgage lender.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

This team drives brand awareness and engagement by creating and managing impactful digital content across various social media platforms.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Working closely with brand owners, designers, animators, photographers, videographers and fellow social experts to gain experience in content development, measurement, community management, campaign planning and photography.
• Developing and managing UWM Life social content including but not limited to: Creating social content for the UWM Life brand channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and X).
• Engaging audiences and owning UWM Life’s community management.
• Lead the Social Advocacy Project for UWM interns.

 

RECRUITMENT MARKETING   

This team focuses on attracting top talent by creating and executing strategic marketing campaigns that highlight the company's unique culture and opportunities.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Working on projects that strengthen the local brand awareness and reputation of UWM.
• Researching recruitment marketing best practices, trends, and market conditions.
• Monitoring, analyzing and reporting on the performance of past and current campaigns & identifying areas of opportunities to deliver business goals.
• Creating engaging content for various platforms, including social media, company websites, job boards, and email campaigns.

 

GRAPHIC DESIGN

This team crafts visually compelling graphics and materials that elevate our brand identity and support our marketing and communication efforts.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Creatively executing a marketing campaign that meets the requirements of your brief based on a new goal or currently opportunity within one of UWM’s brands.
• Assisting in the creation of digital and print materials for all 4 of our brands (UWM, UWM Careers, Mortgage Matchup, and BeAMortgageBroker.com).
• Working on materials including but not limited to: Social media graphics and website banners, flyers and brochures, presentations, reports, large format prints, etc.

 

VIDEOGRAPHY

This team creates high-quality visual content that effectively communicates our brand message and enhances engagement with both internal and external audiences.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Developing a summer-long campaign project, led by you with access to and the assistance of our full marketing team.
• Assisting our in-house video team in the production of video content, including setup/teardown, lighting, shooting and editing.
• Assisting our in-house video team with daily morning news broadcast.
• Shooting and editing video projects.
• Presenting your work and making edits based on feedback.
• Managing your time to meet deadlines.

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2025 or 2026 (current junior/senior status)
• The ability to work Monday thru Friday, 40-hours a week, fully on-site in Pontiac, MI from the end of May to mid-August
• An openness to learning, willingness to be coached, and ability to be flexible in our every-changing industry
• Ability to thrive in a team environment

• A drive to succeed
