Job Summary

The Upper School at Gulliver Prep is seeking passionate and dedicated educators for a variety of positions within the International Business & Entrepreneurship department to join our growing team. Qualified applicants must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, advanced content knowledge of Management, Finance, Entrepreneurship, and/or International Business, and the ability to interact well with colleagues, community members, and upper school aged students in a dynamic learning environment. This position will be responsible to teach business classes, collaborate on course development, and coordinate co-curricular student enrichment activities.

Qualified applicants must be able to develop and execute effective lesson plans that cover the curriculum, engage students interests, and promote higher-order thinking. Additionally, these roles will require collaboration with other instructors of other disciplines. Applicants must be adept at keeping accurate records of student progress and communicating with students, parents, and counselors to discuss concerns or issues. Applicants are expected to have professional experience in business and/or entrepreneurship realms, and should demonstrate evidence of effective writing instruction.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in education or related field. Masters degree preferred

• At least two years of teaching experience; upper school level is preferred.

• At least two years of high-quality business experience.

• IB teaching experience is a plus!

Desired Qualifications

• Effective classroom management skills.

• Experience employing a range of pedagogical approaches (e.g., direct instruction, project-based learning, cooperative group work).

• Innovative thinking, strong leadership skills and the ability to demonstrate these skills to students.

• Strong presentation abilities and effective written communication.

• Proficient with technology, including Google and interactive whiteboards.

• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

• Experience with the International Baccalaureate Programme is a plus.
