We’re looking for a Golf Turfgrass Management Intern for the upcoming Summer Season. Can you picture yourself here working on a top-tier golf course learning the skills involved in Golf Course maintenance?


You’d be responsible for:



+ Golf Course Maintenance – working with the Turf Management crews in the field; to care for Greens, Fairways, and Tee Boxes.


+ Assist the superintendent to organize and direct maintenance of all areas within the scope and according to the technical specifications of the contract


+ Assist with procuring and managing supplies and materials to support maintenance activities


+ Account Management – Shadow the Golf Superintendant and Assistant Superintendant in client meetings and course walk-throughs.


+ Agronomic Review – Shadow a Spray Technician


+ Irrigation – Understand the various parts of the irrigation system; Irrigation troubleshooting and best practices


+ Represent BrightView Golf Maintenance in a positive and professional manner including attitude, appearance, and public relations



You might be a good fit if you have:



+ Pursuing a bachelors or associates degree in any areas of Agriculture such as the following: Turf Management, Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant or Soil Science



And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:



+ Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as CRM systems


+ Self-motivated to work on tasks


+ Effective oral and written communication skills


+ Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment


+ Strong work ethic
