EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT II
to Town Administrator and Board of Selectmen
The Town of Milford, is seeking a highly-qualified individual to fill the position of Executive Assistant II to the Town Administrator and the Board of Selectmen (BOS). This is a senior administrative position within the Town encompassing a wide range of complex executive secretarial and administrative support functions. This position works under the direct supervision of the Town Administrator.
REQUIRES: Excellent computer skills are essential to this position with knowledge of all aspects of MS Office preferred. Shorthand or the ability to transcribe minutes advantageous. This individual interacts with Town staff and the general public on a daily basis, thus a pleasant personality and demeanor are required. The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential. The selected individual must be able to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, work with minimal supervision, and exercise a high degree of judgment and tact.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma plus at least 5 years of progressively-responsible administrative assistant experience - at least 2 years of which should be at an executive assistant level; municipal experience preferred. Bachelors Degree in business, communications, public administration or a related field may be substituted for some of the work experience.
WORK SCHEDULE: Hours are Monday - Friday, generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Attendance is required at evening BOS meetings on the second and fourth Monday of the month and occasionally on the fifth Monday forum. There are select additional dates during the year that may require attendance as well. Work hours on meeting weeks offer flexibility.

WAGES: This is a non-exempt, Grade 17, hourly position on the Town's wage scale. Wages commensurate with experience and qualifications with a range of $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
