POSITION TITLE: Technology Technician
JOB LEVEL: Level 14 starting at $19.44-$23.33/hour, 12-Month Contract
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director of Technology
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, assist in a variety of technical work related to
installation and maintenance of networked computers, printers and their associated software.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting workstations and network client problems, resolving routine issues and referring complex issues to supervisor with recommendations for resolution.
- Assists with answering routine technical questions from users regarding software application usage, Internet connection/usage, and electronic mail systems.
- Assists in the installation and maintenance of user workstation hardware; replaces/configures a variety of hardware components, including motherboards, network cards, memory and related peripherals.
- Assists in the installation/troubleshooting of classroom display units.
- Responsible for assisting with events that involving audio/visual equipment during and after school hours.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of computer hardware and computer software
- Windows 10 and Chrome OS
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to logically troubleshoot problems to eliminate possibilities
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Physical Effort - Must have the ability to lift, move and/or carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED and three (3) years work experience in security or a related field or an equivalent combination or education and experience that provide the required knowledge and skill. A+ Certification preferred but not required. Clean fingerprint record from The Arizona Department of Public Safety.
