The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for a special education teaching position that is available at Auburn High School for SY 2024-2025. This is an immediate opening.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a current Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement in Special Education
- Have effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Have knowledge of medical aspects of disabilities and their implications for instruction
- Have knowledge of resources and techniques needed to integrate special education students into the least restrictive environment
- Have experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans
- Have experience and expertise in using technology in education
- Experience in fostering an inclusive learning environment
- Have experience or working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration and course work
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and families
- Demonstrate the ability to be dependable and punctual
SALARY: $50,072.26 - $83,120.04 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience and pro-rated to start date
