Animal Caretaker (Temp-to-Hire)

*Hiring Immediately* 

Location: Columbus Junction, IA

Shift: Monday-Sunday 6am-2:30pm (OT as needed)

Pay: $17.00/hour

Advance Services is seeking a hardworking and safety conscious individual to work in the animal production industry. Ideal candidates will have prior livestock experience to be ready to hit the ground running!
 
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Must recognize and report any broken or faulty equipment to their supervisor.
• Understand and demonstrate safe and efficient power washing techniques.
• Understand and demonstrate correct handling, treating, and vaccinating methods for animals of all ages.
• Understand and demonstrate proper techniques of feeding in breeding, gestation, and lactation.
• All other duties as may be assigned.

 
Qualifications:

• Be able to lift in excess of 50lbs, and be able to lift 15Ibs repeatedly on a daily basis.
• Be able to walk and stand for long periods of time on different surfaces including concrete.
• Be able climb different types of ladders including feed bin ladders.
• Must not own or live near any swine. Must not live with anyone who has contact with swine.
