Must be able to interpret electrical and mechanical situations to determine process failure, needs, and improvements

Must be able to perform preventive maintenance on equipment

Must be able to use test equipment including but not limited to DMMs, amp meters, and megger meters

Must be able to design, install, repair, replace, and maintain motors, drives, controls, starters, lights, power, communication, PLC, and other related systems

Know the practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment of the electrician’s trade

Know the hazards and safety precautions of all procedures

Know to diagnose and remedy maintenance problems

Knowledge of AC/DC drive programming

Knowledge of the National Electric Code

Knowledgeable in the use of DOS, Windows, RSLogix, RSLinks, and other supplied software

Knowledgeable of PID control

High school diploma or GED is required. Associate’s degree in a technical field is preferred

Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance  and electrical experience, PLC, and food manufacturing industry experience is preferred

Ability to work in a team environment and a diverse workforce

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Able to lift 50 lbs. or more, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods of time

Must be flexible and able to work overtime and weekends when required
