Full Range: $73,189 - $102,465 Annually

Pima County is seeking a skilled project manager to oversee capital improvement projects of various types and complexity levels. This position requires managing projects from the initial design phase to the completion of construction, operating across various environments. The project managers will be responsible for leading a diverse range of projects, including small localized enhancements and large-scale phased improvements. The ultimate objective is to enhance the quality of life in the County while maintaining fiscal responsibility as stewards of public funds.
The ideal candidate will work in collaboration with multiple districts within the County to ensure that each project maintains its designated budget. Duties will include overseeing projects from design to completion, managing contracts with designers/engineers, contractors, and sub-consultants, and coordinating with County departments to ensure projects meet intended specifications. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring compliance with County standards and procedures by all parties involved in the project. Additionally, accurate and continuous reporting and forecasting for each project is required throughout its lifespan.
This classification is in the unclassified service and is exempt from the Pima County Merit System Rules.
