This position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our company's financial growth and success. As a Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's financial operations, including month-end close, intercompany transactions, inventory accounting, and fixed assets. If you are a hands-on professional who is ready to roll up your sleeves and dive deep into the financial operations of a thriving business, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, and check runs.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate activities of external auditors.
- Provide recommendations to improve systems and financial performance.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Coordinate with international branches to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and manage financial systems and policies.
- Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.
- Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Experience with NetSuite is a must (ideally experience implementing NetSuite)
- Experience with intercompany transactions required
- Experience with Inventory Accounting highly preferred
- International accounting experience is a plus
- FloQast software experience is a plus.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Experience in intercompany transactions, inventory accounting, and fixed assets.
- International accounting experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user administration skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Proven ability to roll up your sleeves and be hands-on in a high growth, fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
