Job Title: Team Leader
Reports to: Office Director
Status: The position of Team Leader is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is a 37.5 hour per week contract.
Attendance: At least a 90% attendance record is required in all roles within Pathway Strategy Group (PSG).
Additional Demands: The role includes carrying equipment, walking to and from sites, and standing for long periods of time. You will be expected to work outside and be exposed to extreme weather.
Job Purpose:

To represent the ‘For Purpose’ clients of PSG by conveying key messages to potential supporters in order to secure high volumes of new committed donors with low attrition rates through Canvassing/Face to Face (F2F) Fundraising.

To support, guide, assist in the training, mentoring and deployment of a team of approximately four Canvassers.
Key Accountabilities
F2F Recruitment of Committed Donors:
-
Attend public and private sites, which may be indoors or outdoors, and are allocated in advance by PSG management to actively engage with members of the public to recruit new committed donors for the ‘For Purpose’ clients of PSG;

Consistently exceed the recruitment targets set by the Office Director; this will normally be a minimum of 8 new committed donors per week within agreed quality metrics;

Represent PSG, its clients, and yourself in a professional and informed manner at all times, and in accordance with the relevant industry and client Codes of Conduct;
-
Maintain an emotionally regulated state; retain positive mindset to ensure potential donors are engaged with enthusiasm at all times;
-
Provide accurate reporting and administration in line with management requirements; ensure all paper and electronic records are completed accurately;
-
Provide your own transportation to reach agreed upon work sites with all necessary equipment. You will be expected to travel to sites on a daily basis, and to be proactive in your journey planning;

Be available to work unsocial hours including weekends, public holidays and some evenings as the nature of the role requires this;

Attend, punctually, training events and meetings as required.
Leadership of a Team of Canvassers:
-
At the discretion of the Office Director, to assist in the selection and recruitment of new Canvassers;
-
Provide extensive mentoring and ongoing support to Canvassers in their team, and in the wider organization;
-
Provide fundraising training for Canvassers;
-
Ensure that levels of motivation and productivity within the team are maintained at the highest levels
-
Ensure all administrative processes are followed within the team.

Deputizing for the Director when required;
-
Assist, if requested, in performance management processes for Canvassers;

Liaise with site managers and staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the canvassing activity and to actively look for new venues and locations in which to operate.
Essential Qualifications & Attributes

A successful track record in Canvassing/F2F Fundraising;

Proven experience in motivating colleagues in a team environment within Canvassing/F2F Fundraising
-
Professional level competence in written and spoken English;
Accuracy in all written and electronic record keeping.

Benefits Plan
Your base pay will be as per your Wage Statement which will be provided with this Employment Handbook. Salary is paid every two weeks.
A Team Leader works 30 hours per week. The working week is considered to be from Wednesday to Saturday.
